Uvitas and Sirenitas Play Games to Gear Up for Tournament
Weekly Update from the Ensenada Softball League
This past Saturday, the Uvitas teams for both 10U and 12u played the Sirenitas 10u and 12u teams in practice games as they gear up for the big summer tournament showdown next week against the Chispitas and Diablitas from Ensenada.
In the 12u Game, the Sirenitas of El Sauzal, led by the consistent pitching from Valeria Hernandez beat the Uvitas in a tight game 9 – 6, with the go ahead runs scored in the last inning.
In the 10u game, the talented Uvitas led by Pitcher Johana Sandoval and Short Stop Alejandra Mendoza’s 3 home runs scored 14 runs to edge out the scrappy Sirenitas who scored 11 runs.

Guest Umpire, Part-Time Resident, and Softball Community Activist and Sponsor Mark Tobbio ran an efficient game as the Pitchers and Batters dueled it out in the first practice games of the summer.
This Saturday at 8am to 2pm, El Sauzal Sports Complex hosts the first 12 and Under 4 Team Tournament of the Summer. Come by and see the Chispitas, Diablitas, Sirenitas, and Uvitas battle it out for the Champion’s Trophy.
